Night Visit

Our neighborhood thief paid us a visit late Saturday night (4:00am 8/14/10).  As you can see in the video, he looks around the car for a minute, unconcerned about the dome light and the fact he's right in our driveway.  We couldn't figure out anything that was stolen during this visit.
It looks like he's either wearing flip flops or is completely barefoot.

  1. Would it help to lock the car?

  2. I'd love to get my hands on this little snot. He hit my car & one neighbor here in the area of Mission & Thor where he got a good sized pocket knife & hammer as well as my neighbors iPod system & expensive sunglasses. Yep, we shoulda had the cars locked (& sure do now!) - live & learn - but someone needs to catch this little creep. THANK YOU for doing this!

  3. Vickie, do you know the date that your theft happened? The response from our neighbors has been incredible, this kid's luck is quickly running out!

  4. I've noticed there is a lot of activity the day before and on trash days in my area. I've found persons "acting" like they are searching the cans but are more interested in the homes or cars (opening the lid but not looking inside!). One vehicle was cruising up and down the street 5-7 times at 8-10am while his partner searched. One night I followed and recorded the license plates of multiple vehicles cruising around very slowly. Its a free-for-all for thieves! I reported these and other activities to the Sheriff when I see them. I too had a vehicle broken into and over $2000 worth of tools stolen (Jan'08). Cameras are my next goal. Catch them and treat them like the horse thieves they are!!

  6. This kid has hit my sister's house near Arden and Kingsford 2 times, hitting two cars the first time. Stole garage door openers, children's purse with $30 in it and a bunch of other stuff. Smashed a window each time, to gain access. Last time was about a month ago. Someone needs to catch the S.O.B.

  7. We live in the Garden of the Gods neighborhood. Since August 2009, our car window was smashed and a backpack was stolen in the backseat. (We now park both cars in the garage at night). Also our house was broken into recently during garbage can night/day and certain valuables were stolen. We now have an alarm system. No nice neighborhood is safe. Please keep eyes and ears open for your neighbors.
